Quilting the Quilt We are now ready to quilt our quilt! If you missed last month, check it out here: 2021 Mystery Quilt Along Month 9 We have planned two months to quilt your top. So take your time and don't stress it! We'll be back in December to talk about binding. Keep in mind that ultimately it just takes practice, but a few tips in your set up will make it possible to move your quilt...
Rough and Tumble - A Michael Miller Project
This month's project features Animal Alphabet by Edward Miller. This collection seemed to be timed perfectly as I'm currently teaching my 5 year old to read! What better quilt to make then one you can snuggle up on and use to learn your letter sounds. We received 5 different prints from the collection and the panel which includes all 26 letters and a whole bunch of cuteness. When we saw it, we knew we had to use it! Quilting a Grid Design The best part about learning to quilt grid designs like this one is that after you've figured out the stitching path, you can quilt any grid design in the same way. It's easy to mix and match the shape you are using and...
Frolic - A Michael Miller Project
We are nearing the end of our year as Michael Miller Ambassadors, but still have a few projects left to share! This month, we were so excited when we opened the box of fabric. We absolutely love this line and had such a fun time creating with it. We have some fabric leftover and have ideas for a few other little projects we are working on as well. You'll want to keep an eye on our social media to see when they are finished up. The fabric we received is called A Bushel and a Peck by Alicia Dujets. The prints...
